Do you know what the following three pictures show?

These are well-known winning zones with White to move. The white king has to be within the red-framed zone for a win. Otherwise, when he stands on a gray square, Black can draw. The squares with the gray X are illegal for the white king.

These winning zone can be found in many endgame books, but these diagrams were generated by the feature Winning zone. It was called Vary a position in the last two releases, but none of these names is precise.

By means of this features one can also compute drawing zones, of course. For example the well-known drawing zone of the Vančura defence in rook endings.

But the best thing of this feature is that not only one piece can be variable, but as many as you want!

Here no description of the configuration and evaluation dialog will be given. When you have a copy of the Chess Suite, start this feature and simply start clicking through the 25 commented examples. This will give you an idea of what this feature is good for.
